Nairobi River Cleanup with British High Commission in Kenya
Kenyan Scouts and Girl Guides taking part in Tide Turners Plastic Challenge initiative, in collaboration with UN Environment Programme and the UK in Kenya, organized a river clean-up at City Park in Parklands, Nairobi County on March 1, 2024 on the occasion of United Kingdom’s delegation attending UNEA-6. The Tide Turner champions led the clean-up of Nairobi River alongside Ms. Rebecca Pow, MP, Minister of Environment of the United Kingdom to raise awareness on plastic pollution.
